Areas of Specialties

Who I treat:

Couples: improving communication, deepen mutual understanding, and repairing broken trust. I work with issues regarding intimacy, infidelity and blended families.

Individuals: resolving issues of stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, transition, separation, and relationships, achieving emotional healing, resolution, confidence, and personal growth.

Families, children, and adolescents: supporting families to improve communication and bonds, with fewer power struggles. I help with parenting challenges, strategies for behavioral problems; and provide support with developmental and emotional issues.

Therapeutic approach:

Mindsight: A mindfulness approach of focused attention by understanding the internal workings of our own minds (Interpersonal Neurobiology). It helps us get ourselves out of the autopilot of ingrained behaviors and habitual responses and promotes compassion, kindness, resilience, and well-being.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Improving the quality of relationships by strengthening bonds, communication, intimacy, and trust, while breaking patterns of hurtful interactions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):  Effective treatment for resolving trauma

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): incorporating how we think, feel and act, and taking strategic steps toward resolving presented struggles and issues.

Internal Family Systems: (IFS) Understanding that our nervous system is naturally designed to hold different parts of self, to maintain our core self. It is human adaptation.
